Nick Luisi

After graduating from the University of Illinois’ Business School, he has become a fulltime partner at Sunset Pools and Spas, Inc.  Prior to graduating college he spent his summers building and servicing swimming pools.  Nick has been a key part in expanding the programs offered through the service and construction department.  For 2009, he launched a new one-of-a- kind maintenance program, The All Inclusive Plan, to change the way homeowners’ maintain their swimming pool.

He was recently granted Gold Membership status from the elite Genesis 3 Design Group and has completed the rigorous Construction School offered by Genesis 3.  Nick has completed 20 hours in Hydraulic Engineering under the tutelage of David J. Peterson, CEO of Watershape Consulting and the project manager of the Amazon and Philippines Exhibit at the Shedd Aquarium and the Manatees and Dolphins Pools at the Sea World Parks.

With the engineering knowledge he has attained, and the support of highly respected engineers and architects, Nick oversees the construction process of all swimming pools to insure they are built to the standards of this day and age.  He’s a firm believer that with the knowledge we have available today, it makes no sense to build pools like they were constructed 30 years ago.  Nick knows he builds the strongest pools in the area both structurally and hydraulically and plans on providing this high standard and others for years to come.

John Luisi

Upon graduation from Iona College, John worked for Arthur Anderson in New York City where he became a CPA. He left Anderson in the early 70’s to work for an International Real Estate firm (ITT Levitt & Sons) in New York and later transferred to their Chicago office. It wasn’t until after transferring to Chicago that John felt the need to try and venture out on his own. He and two former associates formed their own concrete construction company (Dominion Concrete) in 1979 and did work for some of the major builders in the northwest suburbs (Centex Homes, Lexington Homes, Kimball Hill, & Red Seal). During the recession in the 80’s John used his contacts to start a company in Florida to supplement the Chicago operations. It was in Pompano Beach Florida where John got his start in the swimming pool business.

The rest is history. By the late 90’s John had consolidated his operations to the Chicagoland area concentrating on swimming pools and custom homes. John now concentrates all his energies and management expertise on Sunset Pools.
