Spas
Spas are very popular additions to the backyard whether a swimming pool is involved or not. Spas are basically the same as swimming pools except smaller. In fact a lot of equipment used for spas is the same used for the swimming pool. There are two different spa types to consider: fiberglass or concrete.
Fiberglass spas have many different models to choose from. The most common being squares and circles but freeforms are also available.
Concrete spas are custom made to fit your needs. They are truly custom. The bench heights are built to suit with our most popular being “his” and “her” heights. They can be designed with tile outlines for the bench and steps and even the jets can be custom placed to massage the upper or lower back or even the calf muscles.
Both types of spas can either be built flush with the surrounding ground or raised to provide a seating area or a waterfall. If the spa is raised, the outside spa face can be finished with tile, stone, or even decorative concrete. Many finish and coping options are available.
When spas are built in conjunction with a pool, they can be designed to waterfall into the pool or located away from the pool. They will often share the same equipment as the pool and be controlled by a control panel usually with a spa side remote. When a spa is built without a pool it will come with its own equipment.
Spas can be a great addition to any backyard and are used a great deal in the Chicagoland climate.
